Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
CCS Changes from January 2026 – What You Need to Know
Guaranteed Minimum Hours: From 5 January 2026, all families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will be guaranteed at least 72 hours (approximately three days) of subsidized care per fortnight. This applies even if the families do not meet current activity-test requirements.
Requirements for Maximum Hours: Families can still receive up to 100 hours per fortnight if:
Each parent/carer performs more than 48 hours of recognized activity per fortnight, or
They hold a valid exemption.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children will continue to be eligible for 100 hours per fortnight, regardless of their parents' activity levels.
Gap Fees: Families are still responsible for covering the "gap fee"—the difference between the provider's charge and the subsidy amount.

Queensland Government Funded Kindergarten Program
Robina First Early Learning Centre is an approved Queensland Kindergarten Funded Provider. We operate a kindergarten program in our Monash room.
An approved kindergarten program is:
- provided for children in the year before Prep (i.e. children who are 4 by 30 June in the year they start—see kindy age requirements
- provided for 15 hours a week for 40 weeks, or 1 school year
- play based
- delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher
- non-compulsory

Free kindy is for 15 hours a week, 40 weeks a year in the year before Prep.
