Chang Program (2.5 – 4 years)
The "Senior Kindy" Experience This room is the gateway to our Kindergarten program. Your child is no longer a "baby"—they are showing more confidence, taking on responsibility, and learning the complex art of being a good friend.
What your child experiences:
Social Skills: Learning to share and be kind isn't easy! We model positive behaviour to help them navigate friendships and learn how to play together.
Respect for Nature: We get hands-on with the world. Through planting seeds, watering gardens, and feeding earthworms, we teach your child to investigate and respect the environment.
The Learning Focus: Preparing for Pre-Prep We are laying the groundwork so they have all the skills needed to succeed in the Pre-Prep room next year:
Gross Motor Skills: We have specific areas designed to challenge their physical skills—climbing, balancing, and moving.
Self-Regulation: Just as important as running around is learning to stop. We provide quiet spaces for rest and relaxation, helping children learn to listen to their bodies when they need a break.
Curiosity: We encourage their natural questions about the world, turning "why?" into hands-on experiments (like watching things grow).
Why Dr. Victor Chang? "Whatever you give... it'll come back to you two-fold."
We named this room after Dr. Victor Chang, the legendary Chinese-Australian heart surgeon. He wasn't just a brilliant doctor; he was a humanitarian.
For our room: He represents excellence and cultural diversity.
For your child: We believe Victor Chang is the perfect example of having a "good heart." We want to teach your child that compassion and selflessness are the greatest achievements of all.
